EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES

Discover and Develop: Educational Opportunities

SEEnet offers a series of on-demand presentations for all those interested in working with social enterprises, building the social economy, learning about cooperative and not-for-profit business practices, and creating effective management tools. Check out the non-exhaustive list below, and reach out to us if you’re interested one of them or if you’d like to discuss customizing something to meet your needs.

We also can help with industry-specific knowledge building and assistance connecting to the sector. We can organize site visits to social economy enterprises, and we have a resource library to help you learn more about the social economy.

Contact us to let us know how we can help you discover more about the social economy of Québec.

Discover the Social Economy

Join us for a crash course on the social economy! The social economy is not just a philosophy, it's a practice that encompasses community-driven initiatives, cooperatives, and social enterprises. In this workshop, we’ll explain core concepts and definitions as well as give an overview of the global movement and Québec’s notable place within it. Participants will leave this workshop with an understanding of what practices and activities are included in the social economy and how they can get involved!

Project Management Tools

There are many online tools available to help you manage your staff’s projects and progress. Whether you’re looking to get started with online project management or you want to use your existing software more effectively, we’ll discuss best practices and how to get the most out of the programs, even if not everyone on your team is technologically inclined. No matter which program you’re using—Asana, Monday, Wrike, or something else—the fundamentals and concepts are the same. We’ll also touch on online file management: while Google Drive is a great tool, it’s not unusual to have a hard time finding things after you’ve put them into your Drive. We’ll look at the best ways to organize your files so you and your team can easily access them.
