SEEnet Celebrates Social Economy Month

We’re excited to unveil our schedule of Social Economy Month activities this November! In collaboration with RDN member organizations, regional Pôles d’économie sociale, and other community partners, we’re hosting free activities in English dedicated to teaching about and celebrating the social economy throughout Québec, all month long. Join the Montérégie West Community Network, the Pôle d’économie sociale Vallée-du-Haut-Saint-Laurent, and SEEnet to learn more about social enterprises!

Québec City

Tuesday, Nov. 14, 5 to 7 p.m.
Film screening: (R)evolution – le travail est humain

Join the Réseau Coop, SEEnet, and the Canadian Worker Co-op Federation at the Monastère des Augustines in Old Québec City for a screening of the 30-minute documentary film (R)evolution – le travail est humain, followed by a roundtable discussion with local social entrepreneurs about cooperatives and the social economy.

Social Economy 101 presentation – 5 à 7: Work that Makes a Difference: Social Enterprise in Gaspésie

Join Vision Gaspé Percé Now, the Pôle d’économie sociale Gaspésie-Îles-de-la-Madeleine, the Coopérative de développement régional du Québec, and SEEnet to learn more about social enterprises and hear from social entrepreneurs in the region. A panel discussion and question-and-answer session will follow.

Join the Morrin Centre, the Pôle d’économie sociale de la Capitale-Nationale, and SEEnet to discuss repurposing historic buildings as an important social economy initiative throughout Quebec.

Join the North Shore Community Association, the Pôle d’économie sociale Côte-Nord, and SEEnet to learn more about social enterprises and hear from social entrepreneurs in the region. A panel discussion and question-and-answer session will follow.
